Kenneth Feinberg, Nationally Recognized Mediator and
Special Master of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund 

“Unconventional Remedies to Unique Catastrophes”

Mr. Feinberg will speak to his experiences on a variety of unique, catastrophic, and traumatic events, including but not limited to the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, BP Oil Spill, and the TARP Executive Compensation Program.  He will discuss his perspectives on how to assess and effectively communicate the valuation of human life, damages, and harm against the backdrop of finite compensation resources. 

In addition to the above, Mr. Feinberg’s experiences include overseeing or performing special master services regarding:

• The Victims of State-Sponsored Terrorism Fund;
• The Boeing 737 Max Crash Victim Beneficiaries Compensation Fund; and
• The Agent Orange Victim Compensation Program.

He has also served as administrator of a number of other prominent compensation funds, including:

• The New York State Dioceses’ Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Funds;
• The One Orlando Fund;
• The GM Ignition Switch Compensation Program;
• The One Fund Boston Compensation Program arising out of the Boston Marathon bombings; and
• The Fiat/Chrysler Diesel Emissions class action litigation.
